Payment Policy

At Bytes, we aim to provide a simple, secure, and transparent payment experience. By placing an order on our platform, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Accepted Payment Methods

We currently accept the following payment options:

  • Cash on Delivery (COD): Available for all restaurants and delivery zones.
  • Online Payments: Available only for selected restaurants, using UPI, debit/credit cards, or digital wallets (where supported).
2. Payment Confirmation

Once your payment is completed, you will receive an order confirmation message via the app, SMS, or email.

Please ensure that you have a stable internet connection during payment to avoid transaction failures.

If the amount is deducted but your order is not confirmed, please wait a few minutes. If it doesn't reflect, contact our support team with the transaction reference ID.

3. Failed Transactions & Double Payments

If your payment fails but the amount is debited, it is usually automatically refunded by your bank or payment provider within 5–7 business days.

Bytes does not control or expedite bank-side refunds but will assist in verifying transaction status if needed.

4. Cash on Delivery (COD)

COD is available for all restaurants listed on the Bytes platform.

Please ensure you have the exact payment amount ready at the time of delivery.

Repeated cancellations or payment refusals may result in temporary suspension of your account or COD option.

5. Refunds & Adjustments

Refunds will be issued only in the following cases:

  • Payment deducted but order not placed.
  • Order canceled by the restaurant or Bytes due to unavailability or technical issues.

All eligible refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days, depending on your payment provider.

6. Fraud & Misuse

Any attempt to misuse promo codes, use fraudulent payment methods, or manipulate delivery details will result in order cancellation and may lead to account suspension.

Bytes reserves the right to verify and validate any transaction before confirming an order.

7. Changes to Payment Policy

Bytes may update or modify this Payment Policy at any time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. The revised policy will be effective once published on our app or website.

8. Cancellation by Customer

If you cancel your order before the restaurant confirms it, a full refund will be processed (if payment was online).

Once the restaurant has started preparing your order, refunds are not applicable even if you cancel.

Bytes reserves the right to determine refund eligibility on a case-by-case basis.

9. Dispute Resolution

For any payment disputes or billing errors, users can contact Bytes Support within 48 hours of the transaction.

Bytes will investigate the issue and respond within 3–5 business days.

10. Pricing Errors

In rare cases of incorrect pricing due to system or technical errors, Bytes reserves the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund.

11. Third-Party Payment Providers

Bytes uses secure, PCI-DSS–compliant payment gateways for online transactions.

Users agree to the terms and privacy policies of these payment providers when making online payments.
